Dustin, and his exhilarating journey of life, filled with trials, triumphs, and the unwavering pursuit of his dreams. Born on May 26, 1976, in Cincinnati, Ohio, I entered this world as an only child, destined for a remarkable path. At the tender age of two, my family packed their bags and moved to the bustling heart of Manhattan, New York City. Little did I know that I would grow up in what would later become the famed Tribeca, home to some of the city's most luxurious real estate. My upbringing was marked by the influence of my family and friends, a clan of entrepreneurs who ran small businesses, factories, and had a significant presence in the community. Their care and compassion for others left an indelible mark on me, shaping my values and ambitions. As I entered my teenage years, I found myself navigating the streets of the lower west side, searching for a sense of belonging. It was during this tumultuous time that I met Margarita, a captivating 15-year-old girl. Our connection was immediate, and we embarked on a journey together. Life had a surprise in store for us, as Margarita became pregnant at just 16 years old. Determined to build a family despite our lack of financial independence, emotional maturity, and formal education, we married with our parents' permission in 1994, just two months before the birth of our first son, Christopher Olverson, who arrived in November of that year. With the weight of responsibility on my shoulders and a family to support, I decided to pursue a career in the military. The disciplined and structured lifestyle it offered appealed to me greatly. Over the course of more than 25 years of military service, I had the privilege of serving all over the United States and in various countries, including Bosnia, Croatia, Japan, Alaska, Hawaii, Germany, Iraq, and Afghanistan. I played a part in numerous humanitarian, NATO, and combat operations, including Operations Joint Guard, Joint Endeavor, Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom, Implementation Force Bosnia (IFOR), Stabilization Force Bosnia (SFOR), and disaster relief missions like Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita. Throughout these years, Margarita and I welcomed two more children into our lives, David and Aden Olverson. Our journey was challenging, but our commitment to each other and our family remained unwavering. After nearly three decades of military service, I faced the daunting task of transitioning to civilian life. The void left by the absence of the military's purpose, direction, and camaraderie weighed heavily on me. It was during this time of introspection that I discovered my passion for real estate. I dove headfirst into the world of real estate, dedicating my soul, time, and heart to gaining knowledge and expertise. In 2018, I became a realtor with Keller Williams, and in 2020, I partnered with Jason Johnson to become an investor. By 2023, I had successfully flipped nearly 100 houses, assisted countless clients and agents in buying and selling over 100 homes, acquired more than 20 investment properties, and established my own real estate company, a wholesaler business, and a construction company, among other ventures within the real estate sector. My intensive training and leadership skills, honed over years of military service, allowed me to influence and lead myself and my organizations to achieve stable growth. The demand for my insights in real estate investing led to the creation of Wealth Builder, a platform where I share the seven types of wealth and their profound impact on families and real estate journeys. The concept of the seven levels of wealth is a framework that goes beyond traditional financial measures and includes various aspects of life that contribute to a person's overall well-being and happiness. These seven levels encompass different dimensions of wealth and can significantly impact both family life and real estate investments. Here's an explanation of each level and how they relate to family and real estate:
